What is collected

When you buy, Razorpay collects your name, email address and phone number, and shares the transaction record with us so we can confirm your payment and deliver the book.

From that record we keep an order of our own. It holds your name, email address and phone number, which book you bought, the amount, the currency, Razorpay's fee and tax on the sale, whether the payment succeeded or was refunded, how you paid — and, where it applies, the UPI handle, bank or wallet you paid from, or the card's network and type — the date and time of payment, Razorpay's payment reference, and how many times the download has been used. A customer record is created from the same details so that your orders can be found again.

If you send a delivery request through the request form, we store the name, email address and WhatsApp number you enter there, the book you name, any payment ID you give, and the IP address the request came from.

If you send a request through the data request form, we store the name, email address, phone number and details you enter there, so that the request can be answered and a record kept of how it was handled.

We also see basic website analytics — pages visited, approximate location, device and browser — and, if enabled, advertising measurement cookies. Our web server keeps standard access logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.

Your card number, CVV, expiry date and banking credentials are never seen or stored by this website. They are entered on, and held by, Razorpay — a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor — under their own privacy policy, and they are never passed to us.

What we do keep is a label for how you paid: the method, and with it the UPI handle, the bank name, the wallet name, or the card's network and type — for example "UPI, name@okaxis" or "Visa credit". That is enough to recognise a payment and no more.

Why it is collected

How long it is kept

Order records — and the customer record attached to them — are kept for as long as accounting and tax law requires us to keep proof of a sale. Requests sent through the two forms are kept for up to two years, along with the record of how they were handled. Support emails are kept for up to two years. Download links expire within 24 hours of being issued. Server logs are rotated regularly. Analytics data is retained by the analytics provider under their own schedule.

Sharing, and how your details may be used

We would rather tell you this plainly than bury it. Beyond running your order, the details you give us — your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, and the record of what you bought — may be used for our own business purposes, for analytics, and for advertising measurement.

They are also shared with the providers we rely on to operate: the payment processor (Razorpay), the website host, email providers, and analytics or advertising measurement providers. We share them where the law requires it as well.

Your details may also form part of ordinary business dealings with third parties — for example commercial arrangements or exchanges with advertising, marketing or analytics partners, or a transfer of the business itself to new ownership. We would rather set that out here than leave it vague, so that you know where you stand before you hand anything over.

What is never shared is anything we do not hold in the first place: your card, UPI and bank details stay with Razorpay and never reach us.

Cookies

This site sets a session cookie required for the website to function, and may use analytics or advertising measurement cookies. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the store still works without the optional ones.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Book files are stored outside the public web root and are never served directly — every download is issued only after the payment has been re-confirmed with Razorpay, through a link that is signed, tied to that one payment and time-limited.

Children

This store is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask for a copy of the personal data held about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be erased where we are not required to keep it, or withdraw consent for optional processing.

Use the data request form — it asks for what is needed to find your records and confirm the request is yours. You can email 24h.irfan@gmail.com instead if you prefer.
